A first sketch of the landscape of mathematics. The aim is to explore mathematical concepts not in isolation, but as nodes in a rich web of connections and interrelationships.

The PeakMath Landscape

At PeakMath, we are building an overview of all of mathematics in the form of an immersive landscape or “game world”, where you can explore mathematical concepts not in isolation, but as nodes in a rich web of connections and interrelationships.

The longterm goal is that this landscape will be a framework for deeply meaningful learning paths all the way from K-12 to research-level math.

In the First Tour of the Landscape (previously named Legend of Ishango), we will give you an bird’s-eye view of modern research mathematics, all of its main areas and some of its most outstanding unsolved problems. This overview is for you if you have a passion for mathematics and seek a “map of all of math”.

Starting date: 27 Oct 2023.
